It’s time to get in to the battle

Written by: Rev. Bruce L. Miller

Psalms 144:1  Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:

Is time for the church to get into the battle. The church has been on the sidelines to long. The church is thinking that others will take care of the problems but they are wrong.
It is time we stand up and get into the battle.
We want the instant change but we want others to change them.
No battle was ever won by just one person it takes everybody to win a battle.
God has placed the church and the people in the church in a community not in the middle of the four walls of the church.

There is a battle raging around us and we were left here by God to standup against the evil in this world.
We cannot just stand by and watch evil triumph any longer.
We the churches have done this far too long.
There is a God in heaven that will hold his people responsible for everything we have done or what we have not done.

The Bible says God has given us the power and the authority to stand in the gap for those who are weaker.
Who are these people? They are the lost, the people who have no hope.
There is a war being waged over the souls of this world and we as the church of Jesus Christ will be held responsible
For those people that is lost because of our lack of partaking in the battle.

God says we can win the battles of life for he has given us the power.

If you look in the book:

Romans 8:37  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Romans 8:31 what shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

God has told us we are conquerors and that no matter who comes against us we will always be we more than conquerors
Through Jesus Christ.

Let’s look in the book of:

Deuteronomy 32:30
30.  How could one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, and the Lord had surrendered them?
31.For their rock is not like our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.

God says: “one person can put 1000 demons to flight “ and with “two people he can put 10,000 devils to flight. In other words the evil we see in this world we can put it to flight.
We can win this war all we have to do is realize who we serve. He is our Rock and we are his Warriors.

Let’s look at another verse in the Bible:
Psalms 18:2  The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

The book of Psalms says:
The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, My Deliver, my Strength, my Shield, and my Stronghold.

When we go into battle we are not going to left alone for God promises to always be there with us.
In a battle even a warrior needs a place to rest and to find refuge from the evil in this world
This is why God said in the book of Psalms
“He is our fortress, our deliver, and our shield”
God is everything to the warrior.

The greatest weapon of Spiritual Warfare is Prayer.
In the physical we cannot win the battle.
But in the spiritual we can tear down the strongholds of the enemy
This is one of the reasons the Bible says we need to pray.

The church has got to go back to fighting on their knees.
The church is the only hope the world.  And if you don’t fight for this world and the people in it
Who will?

Psalms 60:12  Through God we will do valiantly, For it is He who shall tread down our enemies.

God is the one that gives us the victory in the battle that is going on in this world
It is God that will defeat our enemy the devil and all of his works.
We have to remember what the Bible says in the book of:
2 Chronicles 20:15
And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.

The battle is not ours but it is God’s
Only God can give us the victory nothing else.

God uses us as a tool when we pray down the strongholds of the enemy on this world.
We have to remember the Bible says: “whatever you ask you shall receive”
So because we have this promise, shouldn’t we pray for the lost and against the enemy that is the devil?
God will honor that prayer.

You’ll find this in the book of:
Matthew 21:22
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

We cannot defeat the devil in the flesh
Look in the book of:
2 Corinthians 10:4
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

The only way we can win this battle is by using Spiritual Weapons such as Prayer and Fasting.
We cannot defeat the devil with our flesh because he is not flesh
When we were out in the world we used to think we were in control we could conquer everything
Using our own strength.
But I’ve got news for you now as a Christian this kind of thinking is wrong
We cannot defeat the devil with our flesh.
It is only by God’s strength and might that enables us to win the battles in our lives and others.

Ephesians 6:10 - 11
10.  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11.  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

There are a lot of Christians that are trying to win the battles in their lives and in others
Without the Armor of God.
This is the worst decision a Christian can make in their spiritual life.

Many Christians are spiritually streaking; they have no offense or defense against the powers of the devil.
Without the Armor of God it is easy for us to be defeated.
Think about this you have no protection you don’t have a weapon how are you going to fight?
All you will be able to do is run.

God did not intend for the Christian to run in battle
This is why the Bible says:
“Greater is he that is in me, than he that is in the world” It’s time for the church to get into the battle.

Deuteronomy 20:4  For the Lord your God is he that Goethe with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

Remember this, above all things you never go into the battle alone.
The battle, for a Christian is not won outside of your closet.
It is more likely for you to win the battles of this world from the inside of your closet.

This is why the Bible says:
Matthew 6:6
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

The battle is on

The question here is; are you going to get into it or not?

God is looking for warriors that are willing to get on their knees and pray.

Are you one’s of those people that are willing to give up their time and pray?

The battles is on and the only way that you are going to win it is getting into it.

Standing on the sidelines never accomplished anything.

You have to be on the front lines to win the battles in life

Remember there are people waiting for you to get into the battle you may be the only hope they have for freedom in Christ Jesus.
